Subtypes

There are 5 main subtypes of psoriasis. Chronic plaque is the most common, affecting up to 90% of patients. Other less frequent forms include guttate, inverse, pustular, and erythrodermic. Each has unique characteristics.

People with psoriasis may experience more than 1 subtype simultaneously or at different times throughout their life.
